Curricular Band Classes

Classes will meet daily to rehearse musical performances as an ensemble and to enhance their individual playing skills. The goals of the curricular band program are to enrich students' awareness of music in our culture, cultivate an appreciation for the rich history of musical performance worldwide, and teach students to excel both individually and as part of a group.

The following band classes are offered for the 2026-27 school year.

Fall

Instrumental Band- Developing (“Concert Band”)

Winds and percussion not in marching band

Two concerts — October and December

Instrumental Band - Intermediate (“Marching Band”)

Winds and percussion in marching band

Focus on marching band, pep band music

Two concerts — October and December (with the concert band)

Spring

Instrumental Band - Accomplished Honors

9th grade wind and percussion students with prior band experience

Instrumental Band - Advanced Honors

10th and 11th grade wind and percussion students with prior band experience

Instrumental Band - Novice

Beginning band for any student (9th, 10th, 11th) who is brand new to playing an instrument
